Fine Arts Program

The Morae Approach

Morae Classical School desires to show our students and families the good, the true, and the beautiful, and Fine Arts are a phenomenal avenue to do so. Beauty matters, and our ability to see it and to appreciate it is fundamental to our humanity. Although Fine Arts is a broad and overarching term, at MCS we focus primarily on literature, visual arts, graphic arts, performing arts, and music. We will encourage all students at Morae Classical Schools to participate in one or more of our Fine Arts because we believe it’s essential to our student’s formation.

Music Mastery

Harmony and Discipline: Our music program emphasizes skill development in various instruments and vocal performance, fostering both individual talent and ensemble harmony.

Visual Arts Vision

Creativity Expressed: From painting to sculpture, our visual arts curriculum encourages creative expression and technical skills, preparing students to appreciate and contribute to the visual arts world.

Theater Arts Tradition

Stage and Character: Theater arts at Morae Classical Schools focus on drama, performance skills, and the history of theater, enriching students’ understanding of human emotions and social dynamics.

Dance Dynamics

Movement and Expression: Our dance program offers instruction in classical ballet to modern dance, emphasizing physical fitness, discipline, and the art of storytelling through movement.

Finding Inspiration

In our Fine Arts program, students find inspiration through engaging with a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines, discovering their passions and unleashing their creative potential in an environment that celebrates expression and innovation.

“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.”
– Aristotle

“Art is the window to man’s soul. Without it, he would never be able to see beyond his immediate world; nor could the world see the man within.”
– First Lady of the United States, Claudia “Lady Bird” Johnson
